American Whitewater
Founded in 1954, American Whitewater is a national organization with a mission "to conserve and restore America's whitewater resources and to enhance opportunities to enjoy them safely." American Whitewater is a membership organization representing a broad diversity of individual whitewater enthusiasts, river conservationists, and more than 100 local paddling club affiliates across America. Northern Forest Canoe Trail - NFCT
The Northern Forest Canoe Trail is the longest inland kayak and canoe trail in the northeastern United States. The NFCT represents a series of interconnected destinations, extending through a diversity of waterways, landscapes, and communities. The NFCT organization champions and provides recreational access, highlights heritage assets, engages communities with their backyard waterways and is managed and maintained by community-based stewardship partners.

Puget Soundkeepers Alliance
The Puget Soundkeeper Alliance protects and preserves by monitoring and patrolling Puget Sound to track down and stop the discharge of toxic pollutants into these waters. Their water quality improvement and education programs include the annual Lake Union Sweep scheduled for May 10, 2010.
